Eligibility Criteria: 

– Candidates must qualify UGC-NET/CSIR-NET (December 2023, June 2024, or December 2024) under one of the following categories: 

  – Category-1: Eligible for PhD with JRF & Assistant Professor. 

  – Category-2: Eligible for PhD without JRF & Assistant Professor. 

  – Category-3: Eligible for PhD only (not for JRF or Assistant Professor). 

– Candidates with a valid GATE score (issued on or after January 1, 2022) in a relevant field can apply for Engineering and Geoinformatics PhD programs. 

– Candidates without NET/GATE qualification are not eligible.

Application Fee (for one program):

  – UR/OBC/EWS (Male): ₹1200 

  – SC/ST (Male): ₹900 

  – PWD & All Female Candidates: ₹800 

– Extra Application Fee for Additional Programs:

  – UR/OBC/EWS (Male): ₹600 per additional program 

  – SC/ST (Male):₹500 per additional program 

  – PWD & All Female Candidates: ₹400 per additional program 

Key Notes: 

– Candidates applying for multiple departments must submit separate application fees for each program. 

– A separate application form must be filled for each department. 

– Applicants must carefully review CUJ’s eligibility criteria before applying.

Selection Criteria

Merit List Preparation:

The merit list for PhD admission will be based on the total score out of 100, considering: 

1. Entrance Exam Score (UGC-CSIR NET/GATE, etc.)- 70% weightage 

2. Interview Performance – 30% weightage 

Minimum Qualifying Marks for Admission: 

– General Category: 50% (combined in both components) 

– SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/EWS/PwD: 45% (combined in both components) 

Interview Process & Shortlisting Criteria: 

– Category-1 (JRF Qualified): All JRF holders with valid certification are directly eligible for the interview (subject to document verification). 

– Valid GATE, Category-2 & Category-3 Candidates: Shortlisting for interviews will be based on their computed total percentile/score in the entrance exam (UGC/CSIR NET, GATE), followed by document verification.
