– Qualified Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) by UGC/CSIR, ICMR, DBT, or other national agencies.
– Eligible under direct admission mode.

– 100% weightage to interview performance.
– Must present a valid JRF certificate during document verification.
– Research Entrance Test (RET):
– Categories:
1. JRF Qualified Candidates.
2. Candidates qualified for Assistant Professorship without JRF.
3. Candidates without JRF or Assistant Professorship but meeting PhD eligibility.
– Admission Process:
– 70% weightage for NET (UGC/CSIR/ASRB June 2024) or ASRB scores.
– 30% weightage for interview performance.

2. Seat Availability
– Vacant seats are generally in the main campus (DMC). Seats in affiliated colleges (MMV, AMPG, DAV, etc.) are explicitly mentioned.
– Excess RET-Exempted seats may be converted to RET mode before counseling.
– Separate reservation rosters for RET and RET-Exempted modes in main and allied disciplines
3. Main and Allied Discipline Choice
– Candidates can opt for up to four allied disciplines in addition to the main discipline during application.
