Eligibility Criteria :

Educational Qualification:

  1. Candidates must have a Master’s degree (completed on or before December 2024) with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) from any UGC-recognized university in India or an equivalent degree from a recognized foreign university.

Relaxation:

  1. 50% marks for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PWD (PH) candidates.

Candidates who obtained their Master’s degree before 19th September 1991 get a further relaxation of 5% marks.

Additional Qualifications:

  1. Candidates must have qualified UGC-NET / UGC-CSIR NET / GATE / CEED or

Have passed M.Phil Examination under UGC M.Phil Regulation 2016.

Admission Procedure :

  • Selection is based on performance in the interview/viva-voce conducted by the concerned Departmental Research Committee (DRC).
  • Qualifying Marks for Viva-Voce:
    • 50% marks for General category candidates.
    • 45% marks for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PWD (PH) candidates.
  • The merit list will be prepared only based on viva-voce/interview scores.

  • Internal Students: ₹7,000 + additional bank charges
  • External Students: ₹7,100 + additional bank charges
  • The fee is to be paid at the time of admission.
