Introduction:

Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon, conducts the Online PET-2024 exam for Ph.D. admissions in compliance with UGC Regulations (2009, 2016, and 2023). The exam facilitates admission to Ph.D. programs in various disciplines and interdisciplinary fields. 

 Allocation of Seats:

– 50% of seats are reserved for candidates qualifying through the Entrance Test. 

– The remaining 50% are for candidates exempted from the test (as per UGC norms). 

– State Government reservation policies are strictly followed in seat allocation. 

 Entrance Test Structure:

Exam Format: Two papers – Paper-I (General Aptitude) and Paper-II (Subject-Specific). 

Syllabus: Detailed syllabus for each paper is available on the university website. 

Pattern: 

  – Both papers have 50 multiple-choice questions. 

  – Each correct answer awards 2 marks, with no negative marking. 

  – Total duration: 60 minutes per paper. 

Qualifying Marks: 

  – 50% marks in each paper for general candidates. 

  – 45% marks for reserved category candidates.

Eligibility for Application:

Candidates qualified in PET 2021/2023 or exempted from PET 2021/2023 but not allotted guides.

Candidates who qualified only Paper-I or Paper-II in PET 2023 must appear for the remaining paper.

Final-year postgraduate students are eligible to apply.

Fee Structure:

Open Category & OBC/VJ/DT-NT (Without Non-Creamy Layer Certificate): ₹1200/-

SC/ST (With Valid Caste Validity Certificate): ₹1000/-

OBC/VJ/DT-NT (With Valid Non-Creamy Layer Certificate): ₹1000/-

Foreign Candidates: ₹6000/-
